Mac McCutcheon<\/strong> (R-Monrovia) of District 25 was elected to his\nfirst full term as Speaker and <strong>Rep.\nVictor Gaston<\/strong> (R-Mobile) of District 100 was re-elected to his third term\nas Speaker Pro Tempore.&nbsp; The 77 members of\nthe House Republican Caucus re-elected <strong>Rep.\nNathaniel Ledbetter<\/strong> (R-Rainsville) of District 24 as Majority Leader while\nthe 28 members of the House Democratic Caucus re-elected <strong>Rep. Anthony Daniels<\/strong> (D-Huntsville) of District 53 as Minority\nLeader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 35-seat state Senate, which is led by <strong>Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth <\/strong>(R), <strong>Sen. Del Marsh<\/strong> (R-Anniston) of District\n12 was re-elected to his third term as Senate President Pro Tempore.&nbsp; The 27 members of the Senate Republican\nCaucus re-elected <strong>Sen. Greg Reed<\/strong>\n(R-Jasper) of District 5 as Majority Leader while the 8 members of the Senate\nDemocratic Caucus elected <strong>Sen. Bobby\nSingleton<\/strong> (D-Greensboro) of District 24 to his first term as Minority\nLeader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Importantly to Alabama\u2019s banks, House and Senate leaders\nreleased the leadership and makeup of the two committees that primarily deal\nwith banking-related legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the House, <strong>Rep.\nChris Blackshear<\/strong> (R-Phenix City) of District 80 was named Chairman of the 13-member\nHouse Financial Services Committee, while in the Senate, <strong>Sen. Shay Shelnutt <\/strong>(R-Trussville) of District 17 was named Chairman\nof the 15-member Senate Banking and Insurance Committee.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, only 11 of the 28 legislators serving on\nthese two committees also served on one of these committees in the previous\nquadrennium.&nbsp; The full committee makeup\nis as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>House Financial\nServices Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rep.
